"The most important thing is family."-Disney

It all began in Sacramento California, when I met my Marine Husband in a Toy “R” us, in November of 2002. He knew right away that I was the one for him. I was more hesitant, but 14 months later we were married on LEAP DAY February 29, 2004.

We have four wonderful kids that keep us constantly smiling and laughing. We love to spend time together outside, playing board games, and watching the latest movies together.

“Never Grow Up.”
-Peter Pan

Soon after we got married, we moved to Okinawa, Japan where 3 of our 4 kiddos were born.
We were stationed there twice, the 1st time for 3 years.
We then went to Idaho where my husband finished up his degree, had baby #3, and then headed to Quantico, VA for 6 months while he attended The Basic School.
After that, we headed back to Okinawa for another 3 years and baby #4 arrived.
We had 4 kids in 6 years, life was a whirlwind of fun, adventure and sleepless nights.

“Ideas come from curiosity.” Disney

My ALL-TIME favorite place to be is the water. I love kayaking, swimming, wave jumping and more. The water brings peace, allows me to find my center, and just take a moment to breathe. Nothing is better than breathing in fresh air and soaking up the sunlight. I could spend days beach sitting, reading books, and people watching. Being near the water always reminds me of what is most important.

My favorite beach is Oceanside CA. When we lived on Camp Pendleton, I could see the ocean from my kitchen. My spare time was spent running on the beach or sitting and watching the kids play.

"...It calls me..." - Moana

One of my favorite Disney movies is Moana. She is my "kindred" spirit, with her love of the water and her intensity to be near it. One of my life goals is to eventually have a Lake House where I can spend warm summer evenings lounging by the sea.

"I want adventure in the great wide somewhere."
- Belle

The military life is an adventure in itself. I would not change a minute of it. It has shaped me into the person I am today. We have moved 13 times, lived on the west coast, the east coast, and overseas. We have traveled all through Asia and all over the US. We love exploring new places and trying new things. We never hesitate to jump right into our new surroundings and make it HOME.
The military lifestyle isn't easy, it brings its own set of challenges and experience. The biggest thing I have learned on this adventure is, "life is what you make it." We have lived in duty stations that were horrible and others that seemed like paradise, what makes the difference is being open-minded, finding the fun, making new friends, and trying new things.

"Let's make some magic." -Genie

We love spending time outside, hanging out with new friends, and exploring nature at every duty station.

November 10th is the Marine Corps birthday. It was started in Tun Tavern 1775 in Philadelphia PA. Every year the Corps celebrates its start with a ball. It's a fun night of tradition, ceremony, and comradery.

“You've got a friend in me.” -Woody

There is nothing quite like a best friend, and Laura takes the cake. For almost 14 years, across the world, across the country, and on the other end of the phone, she has been my go-to person. We have lived together for a month with 7 kids while our husbands were gone for work. We have spent days together kidless at Disney and have spent hours on the phone talking about nothing at all.

"A whole new world..." Aladdin

Being married to Dylan is fun. He is always up for anything I throw at him and finds humor in just about everything. His sarcasm cannot be beat, and I learned early on in our marriage that I needed to “warn” my friends and family that he was only joking around. We love to be out and about, whether its him running a marathon and me cheering from the sidelines or taking a boat ride to see the wild horses on Shackleford island, we love nothing more than hanging out together.

“Here you leave today and enter the world of YESTERDAY, TOMORROW, and FANTASY." -Disney

WE LOVE DISNEY. We have taken countless family vacations to Disney World, had season passes to Disneyland in CA, and have taken a Disney Cruise to the Bahamas.

Disney makes everything magical; we’ve celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, and work milestones at Disney. There is no place we’d rather be than at Disney for family vacation.
The kids are huge fans of all the big roller coasters. They will ride them over and over again.

We like to consider ourselves "DISNEY PROS;" we know a lot of tips, tricks, and hacks to get the most out of each visit.

Our favorite times of year to go are Halloween and Christmas. The parks offer that extra touch of Disney Magic, and we cannot seem to get enough.

"Anyone can cook." -Remy

We love all the treats, snacks, and meals that Disney has to offer. Every time we visit, we bring home extra treats and freeze them so we can enjoy the magic a little bit longer.
